Ok, so we only have 16 days left of ministry and its kinda freakin me out!! I am so excited to go home, but i still feel this tug on my heart to stay here. I dont even know when the strings connected to my heart, but i can tell you that Swaziland is tugging them really hard. The kids, the women, the culture, the beautiful scenery, the little towns, the little churches, the EVERYTHING!! I dont even know how i am gonna deal with going back to the old life i knew. The "Westernized" life. I am not looking forward to coming home to a place where people dont greet you on the street, where kids you dont know just run up to you and ask for hugs, where the main priority in life is time and money, not family, love, relationships. Here you could be late for something but run into a friend on the street and stop and chat for 20 minutes. It just astounds me on how simple these peoples lives are and they still give more. They might not always be able to give material things, but they give their time,love, and if they can money. I heard a story from one of my team mates about a guy who was in a wheel chair  and got onto Public transport and paid not only for himself but for the complete stranger beside him who didnt have money. He didnt even know his name and still helped him. Do we do that in America?? What do you do when you see the homeless women sitting on the side of the street asking for money?? Do you just turn your head and pretend shes not there?? Do you think to yourself, I should help her but im already late. Or maybe, she will get help from someone else. Well think about it, what if everyone who passed by her said that?? Shed never get help!! And Yes maybe your thinking she will just spend it on liquor or drugs. But how do you know? Yes, money is good, but i think more than money, we could just sit and talk to her. Find out her life. Find out what happened, pray for her. I mean how can you judge her if you dont know her life?? Maybe she has 4 kids at home who havent eaten. Maybe she lives in her car with her little son who is sick and she cant afford the hospital because they are soo expensive and the money shes asking for is towards that?? HOW WILL WE KNOW IF WE DONT TALK TO HER??? So instead of passing by her and thinking not taday, maybe later, oh shes just a bum. Think that Jesus loves them just as much as he loves you. He died for them just as much as he died for you. He doesnt just love the hloy people who are well off. I mean if you read His Word you will learn that Jesus hung out with those people. The poor, unclean, unloved, "Trash" of the world. And guess what!!! He HATED the Priests and Pharisees who sat in their church doing absolutely nothing!! So ya, think about that. And im speaking from total experience, cause i was one of those people who said, maybe later, too busy. Im not judging anyone, im just soo tired of people who can afford to help, doing nothing, and the people who cant , give all they can. It is so flip flopped. Well, thats my thought for the day.
